NPP Will Not Wear Party Colours During 2020 Elections

The Special Aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Andy Owusu has been expressing strong optimism about the electoral fortunes of the ruling party going into election 2020, and how he thinks the party should go in its campaigning.

Andy Owusu says with the level of development being spearheaded by President Akufo-Addo and his able team, what the party will do is rather ensure that it moves from just wearing T-shirts with party colors, insignias and symbols.

Rather, the party, he hinted, will be wearing T-Shirts which has inscriptions or writings of the various developmental projects being undertaking by the NPP government.

“If you are doing advertising for the public to know what you are selling, it is the products of the company that we showcase but not the emblems or colors of the company”, Mr. Owusu explained.

And, in his estimation, this government has several products like the Free SHS programme/double track system, 1-D-1-F, Youth in Afforestation, the paperless port project, NABCO, Restoration of both Nurses and teachers allowance, Planting for Food and Jobs “and so many range of products which must be advertised and this is what we are going to do: we will not just wear party colors, but T-shirts that have the inscriptions of these products.”

In his view, it remains critical that the party adopts such approach in ensuring that everyone in the country is informed about them, stressing that if they had to win the 2020 election and retain power, they have to sell what they have produced to the world.
