He has been working on it for at least two years and now his close associates say that he is ready to become the President the Republic of Ghana and Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Over the last two years, maverick Kofi Wayo has been moving from village to village, town to town and through the cities shaking hands and distributing goodies. He has built schoools, market stalls, health facilities and community meeting places across the country.

In an interview with Pan African Television early in the year, Kofi Wayo said "I am not one of those politicians. I see myself as a servant of the people and I am using my own resources to alleviate poverty". Asked at the time, whether he intended to run for President, he said, "I have not decided, time will tell."

His close associates however say Kofi Wayo is more than ready to throw his hat into the ring. Kofi who claimed to be a multi-millionaire first joined the New Patriotic Party, NPP in 1999 and became the party's parliamentary candidate for the East Ayawaso constituency. 

He soon fell out with the party and established his own becoming a presidential candidate. He said repeatedly that both the NPP and the NDC have no solutions to the many problems confronting the masses. Kofi Wayo is expected to announce his candidature early next year.
