Two projects for some schools in Dormaa municipality

Mr Vincent Oppong Asamoah, Municipal Chief Executive for Dormaa, has cut the sod for work to start on a three-unit classroom block, an office and a store all valued at GHC 48,700 for Kwadwomokrom Junior High School. He has also given approval for two pavilions housing the Nkwantaso Municipal Authority Primary and Atesikrom Islamic Primary schools to be cladded and given extensions to be used as head teachers' offices. The two projects and the Kwadwomokrom school block are funded through the assembly's district development facility (DDF) Fund. Mr. Asamoah said the government's investment in infrastructure and other interventions were geared towards creating congenial academic atmosphere for all children irrespective of location to access quality education. The assemblyman for the area, Paul Peprah, expressed gratitude to the assembly for extending the DDF project to them and pledged that the beneficiary communities would take active part in their execution. He appealed to the assembly to consider extending the agriculture module of the youth employment programme to the area.
