Protect State Assets - Minister Of Youth And Sports Urges Ghanaians

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has urged Ghanaians to see themselves as part of the government and help protect state assets.

He said as the government continued to equip institutions in spite of the limited resources available as a country, it was incumbent on the citizens to "safeguard the few logistics that we have".

Donation

The minister made the call at the weekend when he donated four brand new motorbikes, four hospital beds and a delivery bed to the Nyinahini Health Directorate in the Atwima Mponua Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The beneficiary health centres are Debra Camp Health Centre, Saakrom Health Centre, Gyereso Health Centre, Sereso Tinpom and Nagoole Health Centres, all in the Nyinahin District.

The minister, who doubles as the MP for Atwima Mponua, also donated a flat screen television set to the directorate to be used by staff and pregnant women who accessed the maternity ward at the Nyinahin District Hospital.

Mr Asiamah hinted that the Ministry of Health, under the leadership of Mr Kwaku Agyemang Manu, would soon build a modern 150-bed capacity hospital complex for the district, and assured the people that the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government was leaving no stone unturned in addressing the challenges of the people as promised.
