I Always Feel Good Here - Ex-Prez Mahama Says As He Lands In Volta Region - PHOTOS

Mahama is currently on a six-day campaign tour in the region in a bid to canvass votes for the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) upcoming presidential primaries.

In a Facebook post, Mahama said he always feels good when in the Volta Region, adding that the region has committed people and executives. “Always good to be back in the Volta Region. Great People, Committed Executives, Excited rank and file,” he wrote.

Earlier when Mahama addressed NDC delegates in the region, he called for a collective effort to ensure that the party returns to power in 2020. He further assured that the region will not be forgotten should the NDC win the 2020 general elections. Mahama has so far visited the Afadzato South, Hohoe and Buem constituencies as part of his campaign tour in the Volta region.

The NDC will go to the polls on February 23, 2019 to elect its flagbearer ahead of the 2020 elections.

Meanwhile, the party has concluded the balloting for slots in the upcoming presidential primaries. The first slot was picked by Member of Parliament (MP) for Nadowli-Kaleo, Alban Bagbin, while Nurudeen Iddrisu and Mahama picked the second and third slots in that order. Sylvester Mensah, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Goosie Tanoh and Prof. Joshua Alabi picked the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh slots respectively.
