The Appointment of Hon. Akua Dansua, as the first Female Minister of Youths and Sports by President J.E.A Mills, has been received with joy by the John Mensah Sarbah Hall Alumi Association of University of Ghana, of which the Minister is a proud member. In an interview with Peace News with Mr. Kofi Dua Adonteng, an Executive member of the Vikings Association, he said the Association is highly elated to hear that their member is to occupy the high position. He said the Vikings with their motto of service, Honour and Integrity, are trained to aspire to higher heights. Mr. Dua Adonteng, who was the immediate Past MD of Ghana Post noted that for the Achievement of Hon. Sena Akua Dansua, as first female Sports Minister, she and other top Vikings like Dr. Ibn Chambas, President of the ECOWAS Commission, the Attorney-General, Mrs. Betty-Mould Iddrisu, among others, would be Special Guest Speakers at the Vikings Home coming event, scheduled to take place at the Sarbah Hall. The Home-coming Event would include some sporting events, Roll call, Dinner Dance, Awards Nite, and re-enactment of some interesting students� moments in Sarbah Hall in the70s.
