NPP Invisible Forces Fired Several Shots At Me . . . - Sam George

The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George says he has been attacked by members of the NPP Invincible Forces at the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election.

In a facebook post, he said: "I have just been assaulted by several members of the NPP Invincible Forces attired in National Security Council shirts and vests. They fired several rounds of ammunition at me simply because I was doing my legal job of monitoring the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, I am grateful to you".

However, a report filed by Peace FM's correspondent, Akwasi Agyemang indicated even though there was violence at the Bawaleshie Presby electoral area, it cannot be possible that several shots were fired at Sam George and that if 'several shots' were really fired, he (Sam George) would not be alive.

What Actually happened

According to UTV's Prince Ahenkan another correspondent n the ground, a group of people believed to be NPP's invisible forces, stormed the polling station insisting that nobody votes because they suspect foul play.

The police personnel including the SWAT team confronted them and that led to a misunderstanding.

Prior to this, one gentleman was seen taking pictures of Hon. Sam George while he was driving to the polling station and that also led to a confrontation because the security personnel did not understand why he was doing that.

Calm has however been restored and voting is ongoing.

The ongoing bye-election is to choose a member of Parliament to replace Kyeremanteng Agyarko who passed away on November 21, 2018.
