Blame 'Wicked' Akufo-Addo For By-election Violence

National Communication Officer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi, is clearly in a foul mood judging by his recent utterances on the near-tragic incident that occured during the on-going Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency by-election.

The youthful NDC National Officer verbally blitzkrieg the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, describing him as a “Criminal” and “Wicked” person.

He further accused him for being "responsible for the shooting of NDC members and the attempted 'murder' of their sitting MP Sam George".

According to him, President Akufo-Addo is so power-drunk that the country has been plagued by dark forces.

Today, darkness has covered Ghana because of a wicked and criminal person like President Nana Addo; that is who he is, he is a criminal. He is the one who is responsible (for the chaos at Ayawaso West Wuogon) and that is why his own friend Kofi Koomson said ‘he cannot sleep under the watch of this man as President of Ghana,” he stated on UTV.

He is the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of Ghana and he is in charge of the National Security and he is as well in charge of BNI and he has allowed guns and criminals in uniforms like the Invisible Forces to operate,” he alleged.

An angry-looking Sammy Awuku further asserted that “this is the first time in the annals of the country's political history regarding a by-election, where National Security uniforms are given to criminals called Invisible Forces to shoot indiscriminately at a sitting Member of Parliament and murder members of the opposition party”.

We have partaken in a lot of by-elections and encountered challenges, but we have never been witnesses to such hostile shooting incidents like what happened at Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency,” he asserted.

He, however, called on the Peace Council, the Diplomatic Corps and the International Community to act swiftly since "President Nana Addo is destroying Ghana"; thus, "they should not keep quiet and allow the President the destabilize the peace of the country".
