MPs Meet President Over Reshuffle

Reliable Information reaching Peacefmonline indicates that the Majority caucus in Parliament will be meeting his Excellency, President Mills, to express their concern about the recent reshuffle in government. According to some senior most Members of Parliament who spoke to peacefmonline, various names will be suggested to the President for consideration. However, most of the MPs are opposed to the naming of the Interior Minister, Cletus Avoka and Rashid Pelpuo, Minister of Sports as possible replacement to lead the Majority in Parliament. Names like Hon. Abaukari Sumani (Alhaji), MP for Tamale North and Alfred Agbesi, MP for Ashaiman are being held closely to the chest of some senior most MPs as possible replacement. Majority leader, Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, John Tia, Deputy Majority leader and E. T. Mensah, MP for Ningo-Prampram, three top most leaders of the Majority in Parliament, have been appointed to ministerial positions in government by the President.
