Sammy Gyamfi's "Hefty Slap" - Nana B Renders Apology

National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Henry Nana Boakye, has rendered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians and listeners of Asempa FM for his repulsive attitude during the station's Political Show, 'Ekosi sen' on Friday.

He says his decision to apologise is based on "sober reflection", and that he remains "committed to decent, issue-based discourse" on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not be repeated.

Nana B was spotted in a video knocking the head of Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, in an aggressive manner.

The incident happened in the studios of Asempa FM during a live discussion with some two other panelists.

In a statement signed by the NPP National Youth Organizer, he explained that; "regardless of the repulsive, provocative conduct by the NDC's National Communications Director on the show which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I am, upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded".

I remain committed to decent, issue-based discourse on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not be repeated," the statement added.

He has however, cautioned Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.

Below Is A Copy Of The Statement;

APOLOGY TO ASEMPA FM LISTENERS AND GHANAIANS

I refer to the events which took place yesterday on Asempa FM's Political Talk Show, 'Ekosisen'.

Regardless of the repulsive, provocative conduct by the NDC's National Communications Director on the show which included unacceptable verbal attacks on the President and myself, I am, upon sober reflection, apologising to listeners of Asempa FM and Ghanaians for the manner in which I responded.

I wish to assure all that, I remain committed to decent, issue-based discourse on our airwaves and that this unfortunate incident will not be repeated.

I will also encourage my junior brother, Sammy Gyamfi, to be decorous and respectful in his public utterances during such engagements and to, at all times, respect the high office of the President.
Thank you.

Signed
