The attention of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has been drawn to a video circulating on both traditional and social media platforms, where some three(3) students alleged to be students of Akomadan Senior High School were being coerced by some four(4) residents of Akomadan to eat uncooked chicken under an unpleasant situation.

The Leadership of the Union believes that the uncouth attitude of the four residents was wrong and can lead to multiple negative health conditions for affected students. The welfare of every student in Ghana is our priority and we will continue to be with them in any situation.

NUGS condems the alleged stealing by the students but disagree and condemned the punishment meted out to the students.

The Union urges all stakeholders in this case specifically to handle it with all urgency and seek justice for the affected students. The four persons involved in this illegal, inhumane and insensitive action should be made to face the full rigours of the law.

We would use this platform to also advice students to desist from any form of stealing and other unscrupulous behaviours. We, the students of Ghana, have a great task of becoming better persons in the future to the benefit of our Motherland Ghana.
