One of the three Ghanaian passengers who were on board the Northwest Airplane which was nearly blown up by 23 year old Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab says the experience got him so traumatised that he would have walked back to Ghana if he had the option to. The acting CEO of CDH Commodities, Desmond Nartey, told Citi FM on Wednesday, January 27, that he felt sorry for the young man who otherwise had all the opportunities to enjoy a good life. He says the joy of his survival has overshadowed all kinds of animosities that he may have against his West African counterpart. �Personally, I feel very sorry for him. This is a young man, very well educated, went to one of the best schools in the UK, he comes from a very wealthy family. He had all that it takes to have a good life. For him to have opted for something like this tells you the power of religion and how it can corrupt people and turn them to use religion for evil. It�s really sad.� He said. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was arrested on Christmas Day, 25th December after he unsuccessfully attempted to blow up a US plane enroute Detroit from Amsterdam.
