A giant billboard thanking President Nana Akufo-Addo for his role in ending the over decade old chieftaincy dispute in Dagbon in the Northern Region has popped up in Accra.

The billboard sited in front of Afrikiko near the Jubilee House, has the photo of the new Ya-Naa Abukari Mahama II and Nana Akufo-Addo with a smiling face, with the inscription “Dagbon Thanks You Mr. President”.

It is unclear who the sponsors of the billboard are but believed to be coming from the people of Dagbon in Accra. Similar billboards are said to have been mounted along the Accra-Kumasi highway.

Many people have commended President Akufo-Addo for his instrumental role in leading the people of Dagbon to open a new peace chapter in their lives after 17 years of chieftaincy conflict that left many dead, others maimed and properties destroyed.
