Kanye West was unknowingly roped into a fashion scheme, and it cost designer Philipp Plein a ton of money.

Page Six has learned that an associate and former friend of West’s contacted Plein, who has a huge New York Fashion Week event planned for Monday, pretending to be the rapper’s rep and negotiating for him to “perform” at the show for a seven-figure price tag. Plein reportedly fell for the scam and made a deal with the faux rep.
