President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today, 12 February 2019 present the Constitutional Instrument (CI) on the creation of the six new regions.
According to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, “delegations comprising chiefs and people of the new regions have been invited to the Jubilee House in Accra for the official ceremonies”
The creation of the new regions according to government will be a further boost to their development.
The schedule for presentation is as follows:
Tuesday, 12 February 2019 – North East and Savannah Regions
Wednesday 13 February 2019 – Bono East and Ahafo Regions
Friday, 15 February 2019 – Western North and Oti Regions
The presentation of the CI follows the December 27, 2018 referendum that massively approved the creation of the regions.
