“Laid-back” Musicians Should Stop Complaining And Work Hard - Sista Afia Scolds Artistes In Ghana

Highlife/Afrobeat artiste, Sista Afia has called on musicians in the country to stop blaming the crippling Ghana's music industry for their failures to succeed in the music world.

According to her, some musicians don't work hard and so blame everything on the country's music industry and authorities.

She believed if they step up their game and work assiduously, they will break boundaries and excel in their music career.

Sista Afia in an interview with host Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM's "Entertainment Review" wondered why in the advent of technology and a more advanced world, musicians in Ghana would still be complaining and blaming authorities when they should be grabbing opportunities to enhance their music careers.

“I’m putting efforts in my music with no help. That is why I’m saying those who don’t put more effort in their music are the ones complaining. Because even as an independent artiste and a woman, I do most of the things myself, so I’m thinking that if as a woman, I can do it; why should this man who’s been in the industry for years complaining?”
