DSP David Azugu Is a "Disgrace" To Ghana Police - Allotey Jacobs

Allotey Jacobs has expressed disappointment in DSP Samuel Azugu for his performance when he appeared before the Emile Short Commission.

DSP Azugu who led the SWAT team to the La-Bawaleshie electoral area during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election was probed by the Commission when he took his turn at the 3rd sitting of the Commission.

The Commission hurled several questions at him and a striking one was why his men wore masks to the polling station at Ayawaso West Wuogon.

In response, he noted that his men wore the masks to prevent them from "mosquito bites" and also to disguise themselves.

"My Lord, sometimes we wear those masks because of mosquito bites. To prevent mosquitoes from biting our ears and faces," DSP Azugu said.

To Allotey Jacobs, DSP Azugu is a big "disgrace" to his profession.

“This man is a disgrace to the Ghana Police force . . . The man is insulting us. He’s insulting our integrity,” he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme.
