NDC Congress: No Party Supporter Will Operate As Security Official – Asiedu Nketia Assures

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has disclosed that they will not allow any party supporter to operate as Security Official during the National Delegates' Congress, tomorrow, 23rd February, 2019.

According to him, every security issue has been handed over to the Police.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he reiterated that anything bordering on security regarding the upcoming election are in the hands of the Ghana Police and will hold them responsible if something goes amiss.

He revealed that they have had series of meetings with the police officials, so therefore are expecting more from them.

He also said they are expecting the Police officers that will be deployed tomorrow to be those who are from the same district.

“No one should come from outside the district . . . they cannot bring somebody from Takoradi to monitor Kumasi elections,” because according to Asiedu Nketia they may be a vigilante group pretending to be police officers.

He urged party faithful to corporate with the police to have a peaceful, free and fair election.
