Ten Ghanaian Boxers Rank High On WBO Rankings

Patrick Allotey – World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa champion, is now ranked number ten in latest World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Junior Middleweight world rankings, whilst Michael Obodai Sai is ranked number 15 in the Middleweight division.

Robert “Stopper” Quaye, made an entry into the 13th position, in the Light Welterweight division, on the back of winning the WBO Africa title last December.

Former two time, International Boxing Federation (IBF) / International Boxing Organisation (IBO) world champion, Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko, who currently holds the WBO Africa Bantamweight title, is now number three in the world, with fellow Ghanaian, Duke Micah back at number two.

Former world champion, Isaac Dogboe is now placed at number six, in the Super Bantamweight division, after losing his number five spot, from last month to the man he defeated in Accra last year, Cesar Juarez.

Another Ghanaian, Wasiru “Gyata bi” Mohammed, who holds the WBO Africa belt in the same division, remains at number 14, with Emmanuel Martey, the WBO Africa Super Middleweight champion maintaining his 10th spot in the world ratings, same as WBO Africa Heavyweight king, Richard Harrison Lartey, who is number 14.
