#NDCdecides: "Chop The Food, Take The Ghc20" And Vote Against Mahama - Namoale Tells Delegates

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon constituency and a campaign manager of team Prof Joshua Alabi, Nii Amasah Namoale has alleged that former President John Mahama is bribing delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with GHc 20.00 and a pack of food.

Namoale in a post on his Facebook wall encouraged Delegates to accept the GHC 20.00 and the food and still vote against the former President.

“Food Bribe? Former President now aspirant, struggling to be a Flagbearer. Chop the food, take the Ghc20 and vote #7Asiɛhɔ. Vote for Prof Joshua Alabi. Don't sell your birthright like Esau of the Bible. Change the old order that doesn't give progress to the grassroots. Vote for solution 2020 for a better NDC,” he posted.

The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today, Saturday, 23 February 2019 hold its presidential primaries to elect a presidential candidate to represent the party in the 2020 general election.

The election to be supervised by the Electoral Commission will be taking place in all the constituencies across the country.

Seven persons are contesting.

They are: Former President John Dramani Mahama, the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin, former Vice Chancellor of University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Mr Sylvester Mensah, former Minister of Trade, Ekwow Spio Garbrah, businessman, Nurudeen Iddrisu and NDC stalwart, Goosie Tanoh.

Almost 260,000 delegates of the NDC are expected to cast their ballot in the election.
