Emile Short Commission Must Tame That "Blood Thirsty" Ningo-Prampram MP

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has condemned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for wallowing in acts of violence related to elections.

His caution comes in the back of electoral disputes which erupted at the Ningo Prampram constituency during the NDC’s presidential primaries today. Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, singled out Sam George, who is the member of parliament for Ningo Prampram, describing him as a black thirsty beast who needs to be tamed immediately.

According to the NPP scribe, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, today’s clashes at Ningo Prampram goes deeper to inform the general public that the violence which occurred during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections was perpetuated by Sam George.

On this note, he called on the Emilele  Short commission to extend an invitation to Sam George to explain why recent events have proven to show that he acts abnormal during elections.

“That bloody thirsty Ningo Prampram MP must tone down. His love for bloody clashes will lead him nowhere. I have followed him for sometime and I can state on authority that, that guy has no respect for human life. He must act like an MP and not a thug” chairman Wontumi said.

What is generally turning out to be a peaceful exercise of one's enfranchisement within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), nearly degenerated into a show of brute force when tempers flared between two leading members of the opposition party in the Ningo-Prampram constituency.

Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the opposition party, Joseph Kwabena Ade Coker and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, Sam George, were the prinicipal actors.

This was after some of the delegates said they could not find their names on the electoral register whiles others claim the names on the register have fallen short of the number expected on the electoral register.

The ideal register must contain names from 92 branches, each containing 9 delegates, the register in contention has only 89 branches; an anomaly that Chairman for the constituency, Michael Tetteh confirmed.
