What initially started as a decent intellectual discourse on current happenings in the country, nearly degenerated into a show of pugilistic skills between a sitiing Member of Parliament (MP) and a Deputy Minister.

The altercation was between MP for Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lante Vanderpuiye and Deputy Information Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide.

The two nearly attacked each other on live TV while discussing vigilantism and issues raised in a leaked audio alleged to be the voice of the National Chairman of the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

But for the timely intervention of the host, the insults would have continued and probably led to fisticuffs.

The two politicians were speaking on the AM show on Multimedia's Joy News Channel.
