VIDEO: Final Funeral Rites Held for Late Music Sensation Anokye Supremo

Today, Saturday March 2nd 2019, is the day the friends and family of late musician Anokye Supremo chose to gather to hold his final funeral rites.

The sombre ceremony was held at the Atomic Energy Park near the Atomic Police Station in Accra followed by his interment.

The young singer’s death earlier this year shocked the entire nation. Even though he had been battling brain tumour which made him almost blind, he was expected to make full recovery after being flown out of the country to India for surgery.

However, after the surgery, he slipped into coma and unfortunately died. There were intially reports that his body could not be flown to Ghana due to financial reasons, but that was ultimately sorted out and he was brought home.

Anokye Supremo became a household name in Ghana due to his unique resemblance to the legendary Ghanaian singer Daddy Lumba. He initially called himself Daddy Lumba Jnr. but later had to change it after the ‘Aben Wo Ha’ singer threatened to sue him.
