Ghana Seek To Maintain Dominance Over Kenya In AFCON Qualifier

There are no casino bonuses in African football, there is just performance.

A place at the top of Group F of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers is stake when Ghana host Kenya on 21 March at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars are tipped by the bookies as favourites for the game with 200% casino bonus in uk for matches in the qualifiers for Africa's flagship football competition.

The two teams were paired in Group F of the qualifiers group with Ethiopia and Sierra Leone but the latter were ejected from the qualifiers because of a FIFA suspension over government interference in the sport.

Ahead of this game, Ghana hope of annexing all points to ensure they top the group and qualify whiles Kenya who beat Sierra Leone in their last time group match looks set to threaten the former African Champions, Ghana.

The four-time African champions who stand favourite of the group must guard against complacency after suffering 1-0 defeat in Kasarani in September 2018.

The Harambee Stars look hungry since they have already booked their place at the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 2004.

Unlike Ghana who has made seven times consecutive appearances and making eighth in the tournament in Egypt, they want to prove the point that they deserve to be leaders of qualifying group.

In world football, history can not be underestimated especially in African football, having witnessed the unbeatable Nkana FC of Zambia 54-year home record CAF  Inter-club competition remaining intact.

Provided such history is anything to fall on, Ghana has the edge of beating Kenya to grab the bragging rights in the group as both sides have already sealed their places going into the last match.

Ghana played Kenya for Independence Tournament on the 30th of September 1964 were Kenya suffered a damning 7-1 defeat at the hands of the Black Stars which in those times became Ghana's biggest victory in football but that was for just a year.

In the same year, Kenya hosted the Black Stars in an International friendly which they lost by the same margin, 7-1 on October 21st.

On December 10, 1965, in yet another international friendly match in Mombasa, Kenya suffered a 13-2 drubbling at the hands of Ghana, which became Ghana's biggest win in football history.

Three days after the heavy lost, the second leg of the friendly came to play, as Kenya held Ghana to a surprise 3-3 draw.

With most sports pundits believing that was a new era for Kenya, Ghana went to beat the Harambee Stars in Simba Cup by a lone goal in the year 1996.
