ASHOK Leyland Product Launch; Rana Motors Tema Facility

Addressing a gathering at the launch of the product, Deputy Minister for Transport, Daniel Titus Glover lauded the immense contribution of Rana Motors to the development of Ghana.

According to him, Rana Motors has been faithful to the vision of President Nana Akufo-Addo to enhance the progress of the economy saying "it demonstrates the confidence you have in the government of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. It also goes to demonstrate and affirm the long standing relationship between Ghana and India".

The Deputy Minister further pledged the commitment of government to "partnering with the players in the automobile industry to enhance the growth of the sector...the transport sector plays a pivotal role in the development of our country that is why partnerships between stakeholders in the sector, government and the private sector is imperative".

Hon. Titus Glover also disclosed that as part of the President's industrialization policy, the government is ready to facilitate the production and assembling of vehicles in Ghana.

"I urge you to take advantage of your experience in the industry to partner government in this regard for our mutual benefit and also create more jobs for our teeming youth.

"Over the years Rana Motors has demonstrated commitment to the sector's development. I commend you for being with us and also for your partnership with Ashok Leyland which has been beneficial to the parties. It is my hope that you would enter into more of such mutually beneficial partnerships in the years ahead", he said.

Also delivering a speech at the launch of Ashok Leyland, President of the company, Mr. Nitin Seth was grateful to the government and pledged to contribute effectively to the transport sector.
