The commercial bus driver and his conductor who were captured on video assaulting a police officer will appear before court today (Monday, 18th March 2019).

Director-General of Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu made this known in an interview on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi.

Narrating how the two got into a fight with the police officer, ACP Eklu said the latter was trying to instill discipline on the road after he realized that the driver and his conductor were parked wrongly and picking up passengers.

The police officer caught up with the driver who had driven off after spotting the police uniform and then the fight ensued.

ACP Eklu who was surprised something like this could occur said the two have been arrested and 'will face the full rigors of the law'
