Afenyo-Markin Donates 500 Desks To Schools In His Constituency

The Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Honourable Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, on Wednesday 20th March, 2019, made donations of desks to seven basic schools in his constituency.

The desks which totaled 500 were distributed by the MP to these schools which have challenges with furniture for the pupils in the schools.

These donations are in line with Hon. Afenyo-Markin’s overwhelming desire to ensure that schools in his constituency become conducive enough for teaching and learning.

Expressing their gratitude for the donated desks, head teachers of all the schools thanked the Member of Parliament for the gesture and prayed that he would continue with his good works in order to uplift the image of the constituency.

“This is unprecedented. We are speechless! Not long ago you came to our aid by donating 664 laptops to every teacher in this constituency and now you have complemented that with these donations. We are much grateful to you for always thinking about the children and their future” one elated headteacher said.

It would be recalled that a few months ago the Member of Parliament for Effutu donated Hewlett-Packard (hp) laptops to all the teachers in the constituency totaling 664. They are to help teachers to effectively impart knowledge to children in their respective schools.

Honourable Afenyo-Markin also promised to roof Methodist ‘B’ Junior High School and Council School in two weeks time.

The following are the schools with their specific number of desks received;

Methodist ‘B’ J. H. S 100

Methodist Primary School 100

Presbyterian Primary School 50
