Ghana Has Moved In A 'Trajectory of Backwardness And Retrogression' In The Past 2yrs - Sammy Gyamfi

National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has said Ghana is moving in a backward under President Akufo-Addo and his government.

According to him, he gets confused and asks himself a lot of questions when members of the NPP claim Ghana is working again under their administration.

“In clear terms, Ghana has instead moved in a trajectory of backwardness and retrogression in the past two years three months,” he said.

Speaking on Adom FM’s ‘Mpensenpensenmu’ newspaper discussion show, Sammy Gyamfi advised members of the NPP to stop blowing their own trumpet of growing the Ghanaian economy better than any other government, as those comments should come from citizens instead.

“Citizens are the best people to grade the current government per their performance as compared to other governments especially the immediate past one. I am yet to hear any positive adage given about this government, yet they claim to be the best when the prices of every product keep shooting up silently every day,” he added.

To him, the only prominent tools working again in the country are “nepotism, clannish and corruption at its highest space”.

The NDC National Executive further stated that even though Ghana has experienced massive internally generated funds and donor support through loans under this government than any other administration, there are no positive signs to show for it.
