Only An Incompetent Gov’t Will Apportion Blame To A Predecessor After 2yrs In Power – Dela Edem

Communications team member of the NDC, Dela Edem says the President Akufo-Addo led government keep blaming the immediate past government for its shortfalls because they are incompetent in managing the affairs of the state.

“It is only an incompetent government and Members of Parliament who after being in government for two years will still apportion blame to a successive immediate past government,” he affirmed.

Directing his comments to members of the ruling government, he said "they should know by now that governance is to focus on what you can do, especially on your promises than wanting to blame your predecessor for any negative action you face" in government.

According to him, the NDC expects the current administration to stop talking on every matter and rather get down to work as promised.

In an interview with UTV’s late news political discussion, Dela Edem referred to the Vice-President’s speech read at the town hall meeting as a state of the nation's address when he was expected to talk about the state of the economy.

“Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumai’s town hall meeting statement did not serve the purpose of realizing the state of the nation’s economic growth as noted, rather, it addressed the state of the nation,” he said.
