Lynx Entertainment CEO, Richie Mensah To Stand For MUSIGA Vice President  

CEO of entertainment company Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah has announced his intention to contest for an executive position in the umbrella body for all musicians in Ghana.
 
Richie, who made the announcement via a video on social media sighted by Peacefmonline.com, stated that he wants to stand for the Vice President position in the upcoming elections of new executives for the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).  

According to Richie, he started his music career some 12 years ago and after years of his individual success, he has realised that the music industry in general needs to put certain systems and structures in place, hence his decision to stand for this position to be able to impact the industry with his experience over the years.

Richie, who has been the Director of Music Standards at MUSIGA for the past 3 years, believes he needs to climb the union’s leadership ladder a step higher to be able to work and serve the industry more efficiently.

Richie Mensah, better known by his stage name Richie, is an award-winning Ghanaian singer-songwriter and record producer. After producing records for several artists, Richie set up Lynx Entertainment record label in 2006 and released his debut album All of Me on the label in 2008. He has since then gone on to win several awards both as a singer and record producer and has established himself as one of the biggest names in the Ghanaian music industry.

The CEO of Lynx Entertainment has successfully managed and produced some of the best artistes the industry could ever boast of, including the likes of Asem, Eazzy, OJ Blaq, Ziggy, Feli Nuna among others.

Richie Mensah’s Lynx Entertainment is arguably one of the biggest record labels in Ghana now, churning out award winning acts like nobody’s business. Richie Mensah currently manages artistes such as Mzvee, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, among others, he owns the Cockpit Lounge and Bar located inside the Achimota Retail Centre and also runs an ushering agency.  

Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), has set June 28, 2019 as the date for its national elections and October 25, 2019 for its regional elections.

The national elections will elect a new president and national executives for the union after the term of the current executives under the leadership of Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour), which ends in May 2019.
