One Term As MP Not Enough For Development - Buabeng Asamoah Appeals For Another Term

The Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Hon. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, has stated that ‘One Term’ is not enough for any Member of Parliament in the Adentan Constituency to salvage and improve upon many problems confronting the Constituency.

According to him, the Adentan constituency is big and also a swing constituency which in his opinion is the cause of delayed projects in the constituency.

“Adentan is a big constituency which is confronted with many uncompleted projects because of changes of MPs . . . We keep changing MPs and I think that is the reason why development in the constituency is lacking behind, because as soon as the sitting MP begin to improve upon a project then he is changed for another MP to take over."

"We don’t have any plan because of change of MPs . . . it is my prayer to do my best and be able to complete all the projects I have started . . . I am pleading with Adentan constituents to help maintain me to continue what I have started because if I am given another mandate I will surely complete all my projects,” he stressed.

The Adentan lawmaker however, gave the assurance that when he is given another mandate he will make sure that all projects will be completed for the benefit of Adentan constituency.

He urged members of his constituency to have confidence in him as he is poised to deliver on every promise he made to them.

Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah made this statement to the media during a clean-up exercise organized by the Nana Krom Electoral Area in his constituency.

The five-hour exercise, led by the MP saw members of Nana Krom Electoral Area cleaning choked gutters, clearing weeds and sweeping along the streets of Adentan.

He called on Ghanaian to change their attitudes toward the environment in order for them to stay healthy at all times.

He stressed that it is possible for Ghanaians to stay healthy if they change their attitudes towards the environment by desisting from throwing garbage around their surroundings and in the gutters, which can lead to many disease outbreaks.

The New Maajo chief of Nana Krom electoral area, Baba Jesanda thanked Hon. Buaben Asamoah on behalf of the people of Nana Krom and appealed to him to help them solve the flooding situation in the area.
