Let's Learn To Forgive As Christ Died For Us This Easter - Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong(VIDEO)

Former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Opuni Frimpong has asked Ghanaians to learn to have a forgiving spirit.

He says just as Christ died on the cross, it should be symbolic for Christians this festive season to replicate the love Christ shown on the cross and be agents for Christ this Easter.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he added that the Easter is not a period for people to wine and dine, but rather learning to forgive will make the country a better place to live.

We should also work and be committed to developing our country.

"Drivers should also be extra careful as they transport passengers to their various destinations to celebrate this Easter. The country has recorded enough careless deaths within this short period,"
he said.

Easter, or Resurrection Sunday as it is also called, is a holiday which celebrates the Lord Jesus’ resurrection that occurred three days after He was crucified on the cross.

Its exact time falls on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox every year.

In order to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus and to remember the salvation and hope Jesus brought to mankind, each year from March to April, Christians all over the world hold celebrations on the day of Easter.
