The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has cut the sod for the construction of a nine storey alumni hostel at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology [KNUST] to accommodate continues and new students.
He also commissioned the school’s newly built GUSS sports complex, beach soccer park and hospital car park to mark his 20years anniversary as the overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom.
Addressing the gathering before the sword cutting, contractor and CEO of Safi Properties Limited, Mr Samuel Freduah Agyemang assured that the hostel will be ready ”soon as expected.”
Adding that, “When completed, the hostel will house about thousand students”
However, the Board Chairman of the Safi Properties Limited, Bishop Divine Adjei has also lauded the support of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Vice Chancellor of the Institution Prof Obiri Danso towards the construction.
