Taadi Baby Thief Sentenced To Five Years In Prison With Hard Labour

Rose Mawusi Fiaku, the woman who abducted a one-year-old baby boy from the Takoradi Market has been sentenced to five years in prison with hard labour.

A Sekondi Gender Court presided by Justice Abena Agyin Doku gave the ruling amidst tears from Mawusi, 42 who was pleading for mercy.

Mawusi Rose Fiaku and her suspected accomplice, Lawson Lartey, who is also her boyfriend, were arrested after a tip-off and were charged with child stealing and abetment of crime. (Click to read)

Meanwhile, Lawson has been granted bail and asked to reappear in court on Monday, April 29.
