Shortage Of Men Hits Swaziland; King Orders Men To Marry 2 Or More Wives Or Face Jail

The King of Swaziland, King Mswati III due to the shortage of men in his country has ordered all men of Swaziland to marry 2 or more wives or be imprisoned and this declaration takes effect from June 2019.

According to the King, men marrying more women in Swaziland will help a lot of single women to get husbands since the number of women in the country outnumbers men.

King Mswati III who has 15 wives and 25 children considers this as a national problem and in solving this problem, all men in Swaziland are mandated to marry 2 or more wives so that every woman in the country will get a husband to boast of.

In a statement, the government will foot all the bills for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them as well ─ so in this case, money isn’t an excuse for not obeying the King’s orders.

“Here’s the deal, marry at least five wives and you’re assured that the government will pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them” a palace source revealed.

Any man or woman of Swaziland who kicks against the King’s orders “will face a life sentence”.
