T'di Kidnapped Girls: COP Maame Tiwaa Should Have Kept Quiet - Kokofu

Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama constituency in the Ashanti region, Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu has said he wished the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police (COP), Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah remained silent after her first press conference.

According to him, he sees her second interview with the media on matters of the three missing Takoradi girls as contradicting herself more in trying to explain herself further to human understanding.

He explained that she should have tolerated whatever speculations were circulating after her first press conference and rather work harder in finding the girls.

“I wish COP Tiwaa did not talk again to explain herself on the case of the three missing Takoradi girls. She should have lived with all the speculations and work harder to finding the girls,” he said.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, the NPP Communicator noted he is very much aware how difficult the work of a Police Officer can be , therefore persons calling for the removal or resignation of the CID boss should as well remember the good works she has done over the years.

“DCOP Tiwaa will continue to do her job because I believe in her previous works and know she will do better on the job, even with respect to the Takoradi missing girls’ case,” he added.
