Patrons at the ongoing Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) 2019 had to run for their lives after Stonebwoy reportedly pulled a gun on stage.

According to a report by Eugene Osafo Nkansah, everybody in the new Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre had to run for cover on seeing the gun.

He further indicated the chaos worsened when someone used pepper spray on the stage.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Shatta Wale rushed onto the stage when Stonebwoy's was mentioned as winner of the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

Stonebwoy who feared for his life upon seeing him on stage pulled out a gun.

Efforts by DJ Black to maintain peace and bring back calm on stage yielded no fruits.

Even though VGMA@20 is supposed to be remembered as the greatest ever, this incident seemed to have changed that as some patrons of the show have described the incident as sad and unfortunate.

Abrantie Amakye Dede has called on MUSIGA and other stakeholders to help solve the beef between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.

Meanwhile, the show has resumed after it was halted for some minutes.
