The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo on behalf of the Regional Disaster Management Committee, has presented 10 packets of roofing sheets for the rehabilitation of Akyem Maase Methodist Primary School. Mr Ofosu- Ampofo called on parents to place priority in sending their children to school and contribute their quota towards their education. The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Simon Peter Asirifi challenged the community to contribute their quota to ensure the early rehabilitation of the building to enable the pupils to get access to the classrooms. The Municipal Director of Education, Mrs Kate Agyemang Badu charged the community to plant trees around the school to serve as wind breaks. The Chairman of the School Management Committee, Mr Seth Asiedu Asante, announced that the Maase Methodist Church would soon organise a stakeholders meeting and invite all those who had benefited from the school to contribute their quota towards the rehabilitation exercise.
