CID Receives Pickup Trucks And Motorbikes Donation To Fight Drug Menace

The Drug Enforcement Administration in collaboration with United Nations office on Drugs and Crime has donated 4 Toyota Hilux pickups and 10 Yamaha XT 250 motor bikes with helmets to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Ghana Police Service.

Mr. Anthony McCrorey from the US Embassy who made the donation to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Ghana Police Service, said the vehicles have been given out to help in the fight against drug menace in the country.

The Director-General of CID, COP Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah on receiving the items at the Police Headquarters on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 expressed gratitude to the donors.

“ . . the cars and motor bikes would be put to good use and they would be given to the unit for which these items were meant for,” COP Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah told the donors after receiving the items.

Director-General of CID COP Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah, D/Admin-CID ACP Mr. Isaac Quist, Director/OPS-CID ACP Mr. Joseph Oklu Gyamerah, representatives from the US Embassy Mr. Anthony McCrorey, Mr. Devine Ahlivie, and representatives from UNODC Mr. Andy Thompson and Bernard Henebeng Asamoah were present at the ceremony.
