Nana Addo Has Turned Ghana Into A ‘Suffering’ State With His ‘Counterfeit’ Promises

National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi says President Akufo-Addo and his government will continue to be a disappointment to Ghanaians if they are unable to bring the rate of the cedi to the dollar below Ghc4.20, the figure at which the foreign currency was trading when the then ruling NDC left office in 2016.

According to him, the current government promised during the 2016 election campaign that it will decrease the rate of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar when given the mandate.

“Seriously, until a dollar goes below 4cedis 20 pesewas against the cedi, this government has disappointed Ghanaians,” he lamented.

Sammy Gyamfi who spoke on UTV’s late news programme tagged the first gentleman of the land as one who has made the country go through all the hardships it is experiencing today based on his "counterfeit campaign promises".

“President Akufo-Addo has turned Ghana into a suffering state as a result of his juicy 2016 promises that convinced Ghanaians to vote him into power,” he added.

Touching on the upcoming NDC’s ‘Kum Y3n Pr3ko’ demonstration, Sammy Gyamfi said every single who acknowledges the incompetence of the current government and its lip service to the fight against corruption and economic hardship in the country, must show their anger by partaking in the protest march.
