Wayne Rooney offered an insight into his family life as he shared a picture of his brood enjoying an ice cream amid his ongoing marital woes on Sunday.

The post comes after it was claimed his wife Coleen is concerned that their son Kai, nine, will read about his father's threesome in former vice girl's kiss-and-tell book.

However Wayne and Coleen, both 33, appeared to have moved on from the dispute as they hung out with their four kids, Kai, Klay, six, Kit, three and Cass, 16 months. Wayne sat on a park bench with his arm around his other half, who opted for a casual look in a pink T-shirt and black shorts with a pair of comfy trainers.The couple appeared in high spirits as they sat surrounded by their four boys, who appeared preoccupied tucking into their ice cream cones.

The footballer ace simply captioned the post with emojis of an ice cream cone and a heart, with many of his followers rushing to the comments section of the image to gush over the 'wonderful' family.The post comes weeks after Coleen marked the couple's 11th wedding anniversary in a touching Instagram post.

The WAG shared a sweet snap of the duo with a telling caption which referenced the turbulent nature of their marriage, which has been blighted by infidelities. 

Childhood sweethearts Wayne and Coleen met at school when they were 12, before they started dating after they finished school at 16. They tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Italy, with wedding said to have cost an estimated £5m.

After both a civil and church ceremony - and three dress changes for Coleen - the newlyweds celebrated at the Villa Durazzo, for a champagne reception, which continued on until 4am.

A live band played a medley of Frank Sinatra songs and enjoyed a £50,000 firework display. True to form, the couple reportedly decided against sophisticated fare, opting for a sit-down meal of pizza.  

Their family have recently moved to Washington after a turbulent time in their marriage, yet Coleen recently confessed that they are rebuilding their relationship with date nights, including regular cosy trips to the cinema as just the pair of them.Earlier this year, sources revealed details of their determined efforts: 'Coleen is adamant Wayne can change his ways and she is helping him get out of the hole he’d fallen into. Earlier this year their marriage was said to be 'hanging by a thread' after the sportsman was spotted drinking with barmaid Vicki Rosiek until 2.30am.The January incident came just weeks after he was arrested for being drunk at an airport in Washington DC.

The former Everton striker also faced court appearance for drink-driving in 2017. He was arrested for driving party girl Laura Simpson, 30, in her VW Beetle in Cheshire while three times over the limit.

He was handed a two-year driving ban and 100 hours of unpaid community work, apologising for an 'unforgiveable lack of judgement'. 

As well as their other woes, it was recently revealed that a book was set to be released detailing her husband Wayne's past infidelities came to light.Former escort Helen Wood, who famously enjoyed a threesome with the football ace alongside pal Jenny Thompson in 2009, announced her plans for a tell-all which will feature intimate details of their private moments.

In July 2009, it was revealed Helen and Jenny – who had both moved into escort work to pay off debts – had been paid £1,000 by England footballer Wayne for sex at Manchester's five-star Lowry Hotel.

Shockingly, Coleen was five months pregnant with the couple's eldest son Kai at the time. She insists it was Jenny who ran to the tabloids and named Helen, who insists she had little choice but to tell her side of the story.
