Don't Believe NDC's Lies...Nowhere Has NPP Increased Their Infamous Judgment Debts – Abronye DC

The Bono Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC has called out the lies of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding the payment of judgments debts in the country.

The current administration is reportedly initiating new guidelines to prevent payment of judgment debts arising from botched contracts.

According to Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, the State is currently saddled with over 600 million cedis in judgment debts.

Mr. Ofori-Atta disclosed this in Parliament on Friday when responding to how much judgment debts the Akufo-Addo government has paid since its inception.

“The outstanding judgment debts the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government bequeathed to the Akufo-Addo government totalled GH¢482.4 million".

However, members of the National Democratic Congress have been making wild arguments about the revelations by the Finance Minister.

Reacting to the NDC's stance on the issue, Abronye was of a strong view that the opposition party's arguments are merely premised on fallacies with no iota of truth.

Speaking on UTV, Abronye stated emphatically that it is untrue that NPP has abrogated some contracts hence resulting in huge judgement debts as speculated by the NDC.

He added that the NDC has always showed their reluctance to address judgment debt cases which to him was a true reflection of the character of the previous administration.

Instead of pursuing such cases in the law court, the NDC rather opted to pay it off; Abronye noted and  further recounted a case between the then Attorney General, Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu and Media General Ghana Limited vs Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.
