T’di Kidnapped Girls: Bones In Manhole Not My Daughter’s - Grieving Francis Bentum

One of the parents of the three kidnapped girls in Takoradi, Mr. Francis Bentum has cast doubts on the bones retrieved from a manhole believed to be the remains of the three kidnapped girls who have disappeared for almost a year.

According to him, there are so many contradictory stories surrounding the disappearance of the three girls as the Police through the CID boss told the family that the police know the hideout of the kidnapped girls with assurance to return the girls back to their respective families in ten days; adding that another story the family heard was that the girls have been taken to Nigeria and now their bones have been found in a manhole.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, the grieving father of Priscilla Bentum said he cannot be convinced that the supposed story of bones found in the manhole is true.

Last Friday evening after church I heard on the radio in an interview that they have heard that the police had retrieved some human bones believing to be the three missing girls from a septic tank but I told them that I have not heard anything. I told the radio station that I have not received any phone call from the police and after many phone calls came through asking me the same thing and I told them that I have not heard anything”.

“I told them that I don’t believe in what is going and so I went to the site with my brother-in-law to see for ourselves the bones but when we got there according to those around, they said that they retrieved bones from the manhole with a self-made hook and but I said that I don’t believe the story”, he added.

He stressed that “the police came to my house on Saturday and told us that they want to take the bones to Accra and that they will need the parents of the kidnapped girls to undergo some tests and we agreed but upon sober reflection, I said no”.

“...I will not give my blood for any further test because when the issue first broke out, we heard that the girls were alive and they will bring them to us in 10 days time and later we also heard in the media that the girls have been taken to Nigeria and then the police is telling us that their bones have been found in manhole in Takoradi, how do you expect us to believe this story?”
