KKC Chairperson Cautions Executives And Delegates Against Derogatory Comments Ahead Of Vetting

The Chairperson of Klottey Korley Constituency of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Juliana Aboagye yesterday 8th August 2019, cautioned delegates against unhealthy campaign related comments against parliamentary aspirants and warned executives not to participate in campaigns for parliamentary aspirants.

She added; "it also unconstitutional for any aspirant for the NPP parliamentary candidate to organize meetings for NPP delegates before vetting."

She said this at one of the weekly constituency meetings at her residence in Odawna, Adabraka.

"I have given a warning that any NPP executive of Klottey Korle seen accompanying any aspirant on any campaign activity will be reported to the higher authorities", she said.

The members at the meeting yesterday were in agreement to her stand on the participation of NPP executives joining the campaign trail of any aspirant.

The Research Officer for Klottey Korle Constituency Alhassan Banawu also added his voice to the unconstitutional meetings with delegates saying that he and his team have been monitoring the various electoral areas and the activities of the aspirants to ensure that everyone adheres to the rules laid down by the constitution of the party.

He also revealed that only 2 candidates will be taking part in the NPP primaries for Klottey Korle Constituency namely Prince Appiah Debrah and Harry Harold Quartey.

Adding "despite the purchase of a form by Lawyer Philip Addison, he did not file to contest hence is not among the final aspirants...vetting will soon be initiated after which both aspirants can commence campaigning."
