Sekondi Eleven Wise on Sunday beat their local rivals, Hasaacas 1-0 in a Glo Premier League Match played under floodlights at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.
William Owusu scored the lone goal for Wise in the fifth minute following persistent attack on Hasaacas after kick-off.
Hasaacas fought back in search of the equalizer and although they played gamely to outclass their opponents, Wise continued to be on top of the proceedings most of the time in the first half.
Both sides attacked and counter-attacked on resumption of the second half but Wise played defensively to consolidate their lead and in the process missed some scoring chances.
Hasaacas kept attacking even in the dying minutes of the match as they pushed their opponents to the wall but like Wise their shots at goal went wide and out of target until the final whistle.
