Adentan MP Cuts Sod For CHIPS Compound In Maamomo

The people of Maamomo in the Adentan constituency will soon get a Community-based Health Planning and Service (CHIPS) Centre.

The Member of Parliament for Adentan, Hon Yaw Buabeng Asamoah on Saturday, 9th August, 2019 cut sod for the construction of CHIPS compound in the area.

In his address after the sod cutting at Maamomo Community Center, Hon Buabeng was optimistic that building a health centre will improve healthcare delivery in the area.

According to him, the project is expected to be completed in 2 months and appealed to the contractor to work within the stipulated time.

He also urged members of the area to get on board to ensure its sustainability.

“The construction of the CHIPS compound will help ease the pressure on pregnant women and nursing mothers and also ensure effective and efficient delivery of health care service in the area…the project will have a consulting room, Doctors Office, Ward, OPD and Children’s Ward".

The King of Maamomo, Nii Dorblo commended the MP for his kind gesture stating that such initiative is the first of its kind in the area.

He assured the Member of Parliament of the town’s commitment to ensure the project becomes a success.
