The Member of Parliament for Adenta Constituency, Hon. Yaw Buaben Asamoa, has noted that even though Adenta is considered a swing seat, he is hopeful hard work and the good interventions of President Akufo Addo’s Government, will make it is possible for the New Patriotic Party to retain it in 2020.
Mr. Buaben reiterated that the vision will be possible if majority of his constituents benefit more from government's social interventions or policies.
According to him, the good works of President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, puts him in a good region to work harder and retain the seat for his party.
“The timely intervention policies introduced by President Akufo Addo’s government, such as NABCO, restoration of Nursing and Teacher trainee allowances, road construction within the constituency citing America House road through Adenta to Dodowa and its environs will help me to retained Adentan seat because NPP government has been able to deliver on most of its promise…President Akufo Addo has given hope to Ghanaians which the people of Adentan have benefitted from and we believe our good works will speak for us,” he said.
He said this when the Women's Wing of Adentan Constituency led by Madam Vvivian Bosompem aka Adwoa Court organized Love Feast to plan and strategize for election 2020.
Speaking to Madam Adwoa Court during the feast, the Adenta MP urged members of the party to remain united so as to retain power in the forthcoming 2020 elections.
"2020 election is not far from us and we are here to plan, strategize and unite for the betterment of the constituency and see how best we can retain President Akufo Addo and the Adenta seat.
The women took their cooking skills in preparing varieties of Ghanaian local foods such as banku and Okro Stew, fufu and wrewrea soup, groundnut soup, Ampesi and Stew etc to help project government flagship program planting for food and jobs.
There were also various local games such as foot ball, Oware, Table Tennis etc to complement the occasion.
The women wing expressed their deepest appreciation to the Women’s Organizer for the colorful events and promised to rally behind her in all her endeavors.
