Sierra Leone Appoint Sellas Tetteh As New Head Coach Of National Team

The Sierra Leonean Football Association has announced the capture of Ghanaian coach, Sellas Tetteh as the head coach of the Men’s Senior National team.

Prior to his appointment at his new post, coach Sellas Tetteh held the post at Ghana’s Technical team as a scout for the Black Stars for the 2019 AFCON tournament. The 60-year-old was also the assistant coach of the Black Stars from 2004 to 2008.

The latest announcement is, however, a U-turn as the West African country reacquire the services of the experienced Ghanaian coach.

With a U20 FIFA World Cup strap to his name, Coach Sellas Tetteh will seek to lead the Leone Stars to qualify to the 2021 AFCON after missing the recent tournament due to disqualification from FIFA

The erstwhile Liberty Professionals coach and technical director also took charge of the Rwandan national team from 2010 to 2011.

The coach is well known for his tactical intelligence and ability to discipline in his players.

Many had touted Sellas Tetteh as the ultimate replacement for want-away Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
