Huawei Holds Partners’ Summit With Top Players In ICT Ecosystem

Huawei Ghana in partnership with Redington Golf, the Channel Distributor for Huawei in Ghana have successfully held the first Partner Summit in Ghana at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra.

The event which also served as the official launch of Huawei’s Enterprise Channel Business in Ghana was under the theme; "Leading Connectivity & Intelligence, Creating Shared Value".

The event saw the participation of more than 200 existing and aspiring partners was also aimed at forging more industry collaborations by creating more awareness on Huawei’s Channel Business in Ghana while throwing more light on Channel Partner Policies, After-sales customer support services and strategies, IT and IP solutions.  

During the Summit, Mr. Tommy Zhou, the Managing Director for Huawei, Ghana, extended a hand of invitation to all ICT industry players present to enroll as Channel Partners.

He mentioned that; “Huawei strives to achieve the win-win value transfer between Huawei and channel partners and in that way, offer high-quality services to end users and create a market environment favorable to customers and Channel Partners.”

The West Africa Value Regional Sales Manager for Redington, Alex Jose in a presentation noted that, Redington which was founded in 1993 and has now become a $6.6 billion distribution and supply chain solution provider, emphasizing that Huawei has been instrumental in their success.

He said; “Our collaboration with Huawei enabled us to offer competitive technology and products that provide a comprehensive solution for corporate customers in the areas of cloud computing, storage, enterprise networks, unified communications solutions and data center solutions among several others and this has a positive impact on our organization.”

Speaking on assurance to the partners present, Mr. Jose explained that, Redington, has a strong sales network and technical team in Sub-Saharan Africa and therefore with their collaboration with Huawei, they hope to jointly develop channel partners, provide after-sales maintenance services as well assist experienced technical teams to beef up capabilities of Channel Partners in Ghana.

Mr. Geoffrey Li, Director of Enterprise Business at Huawei Ghana, reiterated Huawei’s commitment to grow with Ghana and the Channel Partners by assuring them that, Huawei will never compete with them on any business of any kind, but would rather support them to undertake their business to the best satisfaction of end-customers.

He also encouraged partners to sign on with Huawei as early as they can, stressing that the early comers were bound to enjoy more as he unveiled the Huawei Ghana Enterprise Channel Business slogan; “Join Early . . . Chop Better”.

Giving some positive testimonies on their dealings with Huawei, the Head of Operations for GCB Bank, Mr. Charles Crabbe, applauded Huawei’s competency in providing them with a Mobile Money solution, citing the company’s customer centricity and ‘one-stop-shop’ capability as very impressive and commendable.

The Group CEO of Cloud Exchange West Africa Limited, a Value Added Channel Partner (VAP) of Huawei Ghana praised Huawei’s dealings with their channel partners and urged participants present to take advantage of the many opportunities Huawei offers to boost their business and the ICT ecosystem as a whole.

Through the Partners’ Summit, Huawei hopes to strengthen the investment and hardwork of their Channel Business in Ghana through open collaborations and creating shared value in their bid to bring digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected intelligent world.
