Oppong Nkrumah Adjudged Young Personality Of The Year

Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been adjudged Young Personality of the Year at the 2019 Made-In-Ghana Awards, which was organised by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana.

In a citation, the foundation explained that the award was meant to highlight the work of young Ghanaian politicians like Mr. Nkrumah who were using their positions to make a difference and to encourage others who have not considered politics an appealing vocation to see it as one of the most impactful ways to create positive change.

Later in a brief response, the minister thanked the foundation for the award and urged Ghanaians and industries to keep pushing the best of Ghanaian brands globally.

The Made-In-Ghana Awards is a campaign to promote and market manufactured products, as well honour industrialists and hardworking Ghanaian personalities in an effort to provide a platform for consumers to patronise locally produced products and service organisations.

The awards also encourage local industries to make significant improvements in service quality, product quality and innovation to meet challenges of international standards.

This year’s awards ceremony was on the theme: ‘promoting industrialisation, a key to job creation and economic development’.
